Senator Silva Romo endorses President Sheinbaum’s economic report

Senator Luis Alfonso Silva Romo has expressed support for the economic stability and results presented in President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s second government report. Silva Romo highlighted the administration's commitment to austerity and the fight against corruption, noting a reduction in current spending of 200 billion pesos compared to 2024.

Key economic indicators cited include record levels of Foreign Direct Investment in the first half of the year and a stable peso, trading near 17 pesos per dollar. The senator noted that these administrative efforts have contributed to the creation of 30,000 new positions in the National Guard, health, and education sectors, alongside historical increases in worker wages.
