Senator Sérgio Petecão visits Dom Porquito agroindustrial complex

Senator Sérgio Petecão visited the Dom Porquito agroindustrial complex in Brasiléia to highlight the importance of the agroindustry for the development of the Alto Acre region. During the visit, Petecão was received by the company's executive director, Luiz Fernando Benites Portolez, and joined by Senator Alan Rick and other local leaders.

Petecão noted his ongoing support for the expansion of the swine production chain since 2019, including efforts to resolve regulatory hurdles with the federal government and seeking new markets. This includes a 2023 commercial mission to Peru, where he participated in Expoalimentária in Lima to strengthen trade relations between Acre and its neighbor.

Luiz Fernando Benites Portolez emphasized that the complex overcame significant obstacles through political articulation in Brasília to facilitate necessary advancements for the business.
