Tilde Minasi seeks legal action following social media insults

Senator Tilde Minasi of the Lega party has instructed her legal team to examine thousands of social media comments following a post regarding Matteo Salvini. Minasi reported receiving over 4,500 comments, many of which contained personal insults, physical shaming, and verbal aggression.

Minasi stated that while she respects political dissent, the level of personal attacks represents a negation of democracy and a degradation of political debate. She intends to pursue legal action for defamation and slander to protect her dignity and institutional role.

Lucia Vuolo, a Lega official, expressed solidarity with Minasi, describing the online attacks as unacceptable and symptomatic of a trend of hate speech targeting women and institutional representatives.
