Senator Zenaide Maia launches re‑election campaign at Rio Grande do Norte convention

A packed political convention at the Djalma Maranhão Sports Palace in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, officially confirmed Senator Zenaide Maia’s bid for Senate re‑election. In a speech she thanked state‑wide leaders, pledged to continue work without “empty promises,” and highlighted almost R$1 billion already spent on schools, hospitals, roads and other infrastructure in the state.

The event also ratified the PSD’s slate for other offices: Allyson Bezerra and Hermano Morais for governor, and councilman Tércio Tinoco as a Senate candidate, together with candidates for the state assembly and the Chamber of Deputies. Local officials, mayors, deputies and party militants filled the venue and surrounding streets, underscoring the party’s broad mobilization across Rio Grande do Norte.
