Senators allege federal agents targeted naturalized voters

Senators Alex Padilla and Chuck Schumer have released a whistleblower report alleging that the Trump administration deployed hundreds of federal agents to violate state laws and access confidential voter data. This action is reportedly part of an “Illegal Voting Initiative” aimed at undermining the upcoming midterm elections by alleging widespread fraud.

The report claims that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) instructed U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agents to impersonate others to obtain sensitive information and to “falsely flag naturalized citizens as ineligible voters in federal authority records.” Senator Padilla stated that agents were allegedly ordered to suspend national security investigations to focus on finding or fabricating evidence to support theories of widespread electoral fraud.
