SENCE launches mining recruitment drive for 205 jobs in Arica, Chile

The National Training and Employment Service (SENCE) of the Arica and Parinacota region will host a recruitment fair on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the State Technical Training Center (CFT) on Avenida Diego Portales 2551. The event, organized with mining‑service firm RESITER, aims to fill 205 vacancies for the Tarapacá mining sector, covering five occupational profiles such as cleaning operators, risk‑prevention engineers and excavator operators.

SENCE officials highlighted the initiative as part of the government’s effort to bring formal employment opportunities to local women, men and youth. Regional Labor Secretary Belén Núñez Ormeño said the drive follows President José Antonio Kast’s mandate to support workers in the territory. Regional director Francisco Muñoz Soto added that the recruitment aligns with the month of Mining and will help improve quality of life and regional employment.

The fair is intended to connect job seekers directly with the mining industry, reinforcing SENCE’s role in territorial articulation and creating concrete bridges between companies and the local workforce.
