Presidential Candidate Office backs Turkish farmer Sencer Solakoğlu after farm certificate revoked

Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry cancelled the "Disease‑Free Enterprise Certificate" for 19 farms, including Sencer Solakoğlu’s Feyz Farm in Bursa. Solakoğlu, a CHP‑affiliated agrarian figure and former president of the National Association of Milk, Meat and Breeding Cattle Breeders, said the revocation was a politically motivated attack.

The Cumhurbaşkanlığı Aday Ofisi (Presidential Candidate Office) issued a statement condemning the action as unlawful, warning that regulatory authority must not be misused for political pressure. The office described Solakoğlu as a “shadow agriculture minister” and pledged continued support for him and other producers.

Solakoğlu runs an integrated, modern livestock and crop operation employing thousands of cattle and producing milk, meat, and processed products. He is a prominent voice on modern farming practices and frequently appears in media and conferences advocating for sector reforms.
