Sendai to host 35th Zudenzhi Street Jazz Festival and BLUE GIANT collaboration

The 35th Zudenzhi Street Jazz Festival is scheduled to take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, in central Sendai. Themed “PASSION,” the event will feature approximately 800 musical groups performing across 50 venues, including genres such as jazz, pop, rock, brass band, and gospel.

In conjunction with the festival, a special project titled “The Homecoming of BLUE GIANT” will run from September 11 to September 30, 2026. This collaboration features the popular jazz manga by Shinichi Ishizuka, who has also provided the main visual for the jazz festival. The project includes special exhibitions at the Ebins building near Sendai Station, limited edition merchandise, collaborations with local Miyagi companies, and a stamp rally across six locations in the city.
