Senegal advances education and literary mentorship initiatives

In Senegal, new initiatives are being launched to support education and literature. The national press company Le Soleil and the African Center for School and University Complementarity and Promotion (CACSUP) have signed a partnership agreement. This collaboration focuses on professional training and youth employment, notably providing 30 annual half-scholarships to Le Soleil employees, their children, or retirees.

Separately, the Senegalese Association for the Promotion of Books and Reading (PLL) launched its first literary symposium in Dakar. Under the theme ‘The art of transmitting: mentorship and reciprocal learning,’ the event aims to create bridges between established writers and emerging authors through intergenerational dialogue and mentorship.
