Senegal and Burkina Faso report strategic institutional and industrial developments

Papa Ibrahima Senghor has been officially installed as the new Director General of the Société Nationale de Recouvrement (SNR) in Senegal. His strategic roadmap focuses on securing, structuring, and accelerating the institution to establish it as a reference for debt recovery and distressed asset management within the UEMOA zone. The strategy includes five pillars: strengthening the legal framework, operational excellence, commercial development, digital transformation, and human capital governance.

In Burkina Faso, SN CITEC reported a significant financial recovery following its nationalization in November 2025. Director General Nomandé Prosper Kola announced that the company's turnover reached 14.229 billion CFA francs in the first half of 2026, marking a 130% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The turnaround has helped preserve over 200 permanent jobs and has seen industrial activity increase from 53 operational days in 2025 to 156 days in the first half of 2026.
