Senegal and Türkiye strengthen security and administrative cooperation

Senegalese National Police Deputy Director General Abdoul Wahab Sall met with the Turkish Ambassador to Senegal, Dilşad Kirbaşlı Karaoğlu, to discuss security cooperation and administrative issues affecting Turkish nationals.

To address difficulties regarding residency permits for Turkish citizens, officials discussed implementing corrective measures, including the issuance of provisional receipts, the designation of a dedicated focal point, and the use of exemptions for urgent cases.

The meeting also focused on broader strategic ties, including migration management and security preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. These discussions build upon a 2022 cooperation agreement and previous high-level security exchanges between the two nations.
