Conakry police dismantle vehicle theft and drug operations

Authorities in Conakry have dismantled a vehicle theft ring and conducted operations against illegal drug cultivation. Following a complaint from a pharmacist in Lambanyi, police used geolocation to intercept a network involved in stealing vehicles and falsifying license plates. Four suspects were apprehended, and several vehicles, including a Toyota Hilux and a Nissan Almera, were recovered.

In a separate operation in the Kaloum district, security forces discovered a cannabis field enclosed within a fenced area. The intervention, involving the gendarmerie and national police, led to the arrest of individuals in possession of narcotics. Officials have pledged to continue operations to sanitize criminal sites across the capital.
