Senegal banker Doudou Lamine Dieng denies wrongdoing in Pape Cheikh Diallo investigation

Doudou Lamine Dieng, a Senegalese banker, was heard before the investigating judge of the Pikine‑Guédiawaye tribunal and firmly rejected all accusations against him. He asserted that he has no involvement in the alleged crimes and that his contacts with public figures such as TV host Pape Cheikh Diallo and singer Djiby Dramé are purely friendly. The investigation, which also involves the host, the singer and other individuals, concerns alleged criminal association, acts against nature, voluntary HIV transmission and money‑laundering. All suspects remain under the presumption of innocence while the judicial inquiry continues, with further hearings expected in the coming weeks.

The case has drawn significant media attention in Senegal, but no judicial decision has been rendered yet.
