Senegal secured a 5-0 victory over Iraq in their World Cup group match, improving its goal difference and keeping a spot in the knockout stage within reach. Goals were scored by Habib Diarra, Ismaila Sarr, Pape Gueye (twice) and Iliman Ndiaye, while Iraq’s campaign ended after three defeats.

Official team photographer Sidy Talla was denied a visa to travel to Canada for the tournament. Forced to remain in a United States hotel, he filmed the match from his television screen, later sharing a message about his continued passion for documenting the World Cup despite the setback.
