Senegal energy: Sangomar exports 2.94 million barrels amid production decline

Senegal's oil and gas projects reported divergent results in September 2026. The Sangomar oil field exported 2.94 million barrels of crude oil through three separate shipments. However, the field experienced a decline in production levels due to a reduction in daily flow rates.

In contrast, the Grand Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) gas project maintained stable production levels. The project exported two shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG), totaling 0.33 million cubic meters, demonstrating operational continuity for this key Senegalese energy asset.
