Diodio Glow Skin accused of financing cyber-harassment network

Mame Diarra Thiam, known as ‘Diodio Glow Skin’, is under investigation by Senegal’s Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC) for allegedly orchestrating and financing targeted cyber-harassment campaigns against her detractors.

Investigators suspect Thiam used significant sums of money to pay influencers, including Rokhaya Fall (known as ‘Rox’) and the creator ‘Adamo’, to launch public attacks on critics such as Tata Nafi Cannes. Reports suggest Rox may have received 7 million FCFA, a sum that investigators claim was intended for digital retaliation rather than the charitable donations Thiam’s defense claims they were.

Thiam’s legal team has issued a formal denial regarding reports that she confessed to the charges, calling such claims ‘inaccurate’ and ‘insufficiently verified’. They maintain that the financial transfers were intended for social works, such as cancer research, and have threatened legal action against media outlets for spreading misinformation. Thiam and Rox are expected to be referred to the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor’s office for further judicial instruction.
