Senegal Minister Djirèye Clothilde Coly promotes investment and sports media ties in New Jersey
Senegal’s Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Djirèye Clothilde Coly, attended the Forum des Affaires Sénégal Rek at Rutgers University in New Jersey. The forum highlighted Senegal’s economic stability and opportunities in digital, cultural, creative and sports‑infrastructure sectors, calling on diaspora investors and partners to support the country’s 2050 transformation agenda and the planned Youth Olympic Games in Dakar 2026.
During the same World Cup period, Coly visited the ANPS‑run press house for Senegalese sports journalists in New Jersey, reiterating the government’s backing of the media as a strategic partner. She noted a contribution of 25 million CFA and a special US‑$40,000 grant from the Senegalese president to improve working conditions for the journalists covering the 2026 tournament.
