Senegal Minister Déthié Fall reaffirms support for President Faye

Senegalese Minister of Infrastructure Déthié Fall has reaffirmed the unwavering support of his party, the Parti républicain pour le progrès (PRP), for President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. Speaking on the radio program ‘RFM matin’, Fall emphasized that his party remains firmly within the presidential movement.

Addressing perceived tensions between President Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, Fall declined to take sides, stating that his political vision is attached to the Republic and Senegal rather than specific individuals. He noted that the President of the Republic is responsible for defining the country's policy and asserted that he works at least 16 hours a day to ensure the success of the presidential mission.

Fall also called on political actors to prioritize national interest over personal disputes, urging them to avoid unnecessary quarrels.
