Senegal Prime Minister Ahmadou Alhaminou Mohamed Lo Unveils Results‑Driven Government Plan
Prime Minister Ahmadou Alhaminou Mohamed Lo presented the new government’s roadmap during his first address to the Council of Ministers. He pledged a rapid‑response agenda focused on job creation, economic opportunities, better access to essential services and tangible improvements to citizens’ living conditions.
The administration will operate on a daily, active interministerial model to speed up priority dossiers, shifting from procedural bureaucracy to a results‑oriented culture. Key priorities include an agricultural campaign, food security, flood prevention, exam and competition organization, and the evaluation of the Programme de redressement économique et social (PRES). Lo also announced the swift drafting of a code of ethics and deontology for public agents, alongside measures to boost administrative performance, risk management and cybersecurity. The plan aligns with the accelerated implementation of the long‑term Agenda Senegal 2050.
