Senegal to host Biennale de la Danse en Afrique in 2026
The Biennale de la Danse en Afrique will be held in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, from April 29 to May 3, 2026. This marks the first time the event will be hosted in Senegal, organized by a local consortium including École des Sables, Kaay Feccet, and Zhu Culture.
The festival aims to celebrate dance as a medium for living memory, ecological resistance, and gender emancipation. The programming is expected to feature artists from across the African continent, blending ancestral rhythms with modern movements to address contemporary global issues.
