Senegalese literature and sports see new publications

In Senegal, author Cheikh Yérim Seck has released his work, ‘Ces goulots qui étranglent le Sénégal’, which features a preface by the renowned writer Cheikh Hamidou Kane. Seck noted that Kane, author of ‘L’aventure ambiguë’, provided a high-quality preface that added significant legitimacy to the book’s diagnosis of the country's challenges.

Separately, journalist Frédéric Sohounde has published ‘Défis africains du Cyclisme à la CAN, cap sur Dakar 2026’. The book examines the realities and challenges of cycling in Africa, serving as a tribute to the women and youth involved in the sport. The publication arrives ahead of the African Cycling Nations Cup scheduled to be held in Dakar in 2026.
