Senegalese military chief honors top student Ameth Babou
Ameth Babou, a student at the Prytanée militaire Charles N’Tchoréré in Saint-Louis, has been named the top student of the 2026 Concours général. To honor his achievements, Vice-Admiral Oumar Wade, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, received the student for an official audience.
Babou, a Terminale S1 student, demonstrated exceptional versatility by winning four first prizes in diverse subjects: French, Citizenship and Human Rights, Philosophical Dissertation, and Physics. His academic success also extends to his baccalaureate results and his performance in mathematics olympiads.
The Senegalese military institution used the meeting to highlight the quality of training provided at the military academy and to celebrate the student's dedication and rigor, noting his accomplishments as a source of pride for the armed forces.
