Senegal's 3FPT launches 5,000 vocational training vouchers

The Fonds de Financement de la Formation professionnelle et technique (3FPT) has launched a new online enrollment campaign to award 5,000 Initial Training Vouchers (BFI) for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Under this mechanism, the 3FPT covers 90% of the training costs, leaving only a symbolic contribution for the beneficiary. The eligible programs are diploma-granting courses lasting between one and three years, exclusively available to Senegalese youth. The enrollment process is fully digital, intended to expand geographic access beyond Dakar, though the effectiveness of this approach may depend on overcoming the digital divide.

The initiative aims to strengthen youth qualifications and improve integration into the labor market, addressing the structural challenge of aligning vocational training with the actual needs of the economy.
