Senegal's ANPEJ reforms employment information system

The National Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment (ANPEJ) in Senegal has launched a reform of its Employment Market Information System (SIME). The initiative aims to create a reliable, modern, and interoperable tool to better guide public policies through data-driven insights.

During a consultation workshop involving the private sector, universities, and public employment structures, ANPEJ Director General Sinna Amadou Gaye announced that the new system will centralize, process, and analyze data to track labor market evolutions. In collaboration with the National Agency of Statistics and Demography (ANSD), the project includes assigning a unique identification number to every job seeker to ensure national traceability of professional paths.
