Senegal's anti-corruption agency OFNAC sets final July 2026 deadline for asset declarations

The Office National de Lutte contre la Corruption (OFNAC) has issued a final deadline of 31 July 2026 for senior officials, parliamentarians, magistrates and senior civil servants to file or update their asset declarations. In a communiqué on 3 July, OFNAC warned that anyone who fails to comply will be listed publicly and subject to the penalties stipulated in law n° 2025‑13 and decree n° 2025‑1835.

OFNAC’s head, Moustapha Ka, reported that only 558 of the 1 594 officials required to submit declarations have done so, a compliance rate described as very low. The agency indicated that the forthcoming public list, sometimes called a “black list,” could carry significant reputational and political consequences for the non‑compliant officials.
