Seniat reports $1.198 billion in tax revenue for September 2026

Venezuela's tax authority, Seniat, reported total tax revenue of approximately $1.198 billion for September 2026. This figure represents a 37.6% increase compared to September 2025 and a 13% increase from August 2026, according to Superintendent Román Maniglia.

Internal tax revenue reached roughly $810.54 million, while customs revenue rose by over 46% to approximately $365 million. Additionally, revenue from the Large Financial Transactions Tax (IGTF) amounted to about $21.72 million.

These financial results are part of a broader modernization initiative known as the MODA model (Modernization, Digitalization, and Automation). This strategy aims to streamline administrative procedures, simplify the digital Tax Information Registry (RIF), and transition toward digital commerce tools. Recent measures include relaxing enforcement on traditional fiscal machines and simplifying administrative requirements to foster a more efficient fiscal administration system.
