Senica and Kolín initiate local cultural and historical renovation projects
In Senica, Slovakia, the city is launching a project to install street art on entrance panels located at the city's boundaries and within the districts of Čáčov and Kunov. The city has partnered with the renowned street artist Lukero (Lukáš Krč) to create works that depict characteristic elements and historical figures of the region. Residents will have the opportunity to vote on specific motifs for the panels in Kunov and Čáčov via an online form.
Meanwhile, in Kolín, Czech Republic, reconstruction has begun on a historical bastion in the city center. The project, estimated to cost 10.2 million CZK, includes masonry remediation, roofing, and the installation of new electrical systems. The renovated site is intended to house a new exhibition regarding the history of the city's fortifications, featuring models, historical clothing, and weaponry. The plan also includes the construction of a walkway connecting the bastion to a nearby synagogue.
