Senica hosts Senické senobranie cultural festival

The city of Senica hosted the Senické senobranie, a community and cultural event held at the local football stadium. The program combined folk traditions with modern entertainment, featuring a traditional fair with artisans and folk music by Michal Moravčík.

The event included a historical performance titled ‘Príbeh rytiera’ (The Knight's Story), which commemorated the 630th anniversary of the granting of city privileges to Senica by Voivode Ctibor of Ctiborice. During the ceremony, Mayor Martin Džačovský received a symbolic commemorative charter.

Activities for children included nature-focused workshops by Europe Direct Senica, historical games, and a falconry demonstration by the Aquila group from Bojnice. The event was attended by Jozef Viskupič, Chairman of the Trnava Self-Governing Region, and a delegation from the Polish partner city of Pułtusk, led by Mayor Beata Jóźwiak.
