Senigallia adopts simplified General Regulatory Plan variant
The municipal government of Senigallia has adopted the 2026 simplified variant to the General Regulatory Plan (PRG). The measure aims to update and increase the flexibility of urban planning regulations, facilitating previously planned interventions and addressing requests to reduce buildable areas.
The variant focuses on four primary areas: correcting errors and inconsistencies between cartography and technical standards, coordinating with higher-level provisions and sector tools, revising unfulfilled forecasts, and transforming certain buildable areas into agricultural land or non-buildable private green spaces.
Urban Planning Councilor Elena Campagnolo stated that the variant provides concrete responses to emerging needs by introducing more flexible rules and favoring the recovery of existing properties without increasing total building volumes. This move is intended to align with the territory's protection and the development of the new “Senigallia 2045” General Urban Plan.
