Senigallia: Cyclist critically injured in collision with scooter

A serious collision occurred on Friday evening around 7:15 PM on Lungomare Mameli in Senigallia, involving a bicycle and a scooter. The accident took place near the port area during a busy period as beachgoers were leaving the shore.

The cyclist sustained critical injuries and was treated on-site by emergency medical services. Due to the severity of the injuries, the Icaro rescue helicopter was deployed from Falconara to transport the victim to the Torrette Regional Hospital in Ancona under a red code emergency.

The driver of the scooter also sustained minor injuries. Local police temporarily closed the affected section of the seafront to facilitate rescue operations and conduct investigations into the cause of the crash.
