Senigallia reports record tourism numbers and discusses new maritime status
Senigallia has reported record-breaking tourism figures, with total presences reaching nearly 1.9 million in 2025. Data from the Marche Region indicates the city saw 379,809 arrivals, with domestic tourism accounting for 80.5% of the total. The average stay per visitor was approximately 4.95 days.
Growth has been significantly driven by large-scale events, most notably the Harley-Davidson European Spring Rally. This event, along with other international gatherings, has contributed to a surge in local economic activity and visitor numbers.
In addition to economic growth, local officials are engaging with the G20 Beaches Destination Summit to discuss proposed legislation regarding ‘Marine Communities’. If passed, this law would grant specific administrative powers, resources, and planning tools to high-density coastal locations to better manage seasonal influxes, urban security, mobility, and economic sustainability.
