Senigallia to host Epicurean philosophy presentation

On August 25, Michele Pinto will present ‘Epicuro ha vinto’ (Epicurus Has Won) at the Auditorium San Rocco in Senigallia. This event is part of an extra evening within the Epicurean Festival.

Pinto, the founder and organizer of the festival since 2019, will conduct twenty-three comparisons between the writings of the ancient philosopher Epicurus and various historical figures who reached similar conclusions independently. The presentation explores themes such as death, happiness, sobriety, desire, freedom, and friendship.

Notable figures whose ideas will be compared to Epicurus include Freddie Mercury, John Lennon, Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Mahatma Gandhi, and Niccolò Machiavelli, among others.
