Senior citizen groups hold community anniversary and retiree celebrations

Various community groups are hosting celebrations for senior citizens. In La Ascensión, San Felipe, the ‘Juventud Prolongada’ club is marking its 25th anniversary with a series of events including a thanksgiving mass, awards ceremonies, and recreational activities at Playa Sonrisa. The club, which consists of 65 members, noted that all activities are self-funded and expressed a need for a dedicated headquarters.

In Santiago del Estero, the Club Red Star hosted a Retiree Day festival. The event brought together members from 33 different retiree centers for music, dancing, and lunch. Local officials, including Governor Elías Suárez, attended the gathering to recognize the contributions of the elderly to the province and to reaffirm commitment to programs supporting older adults.
