Senior community events held in Roermond and Schiedam

Various community events in the Netherlands are focusing on supporting and engaging senior citizens through information markets and health initiatives.

In Roermond, the '60+ Actief met pensioen' information market is scheduled for November 5, 2026. Organized by the association 'Senioren in het Groen' and co-financed by the municipality, the fair will feature over 30 stands. It aims to provide seniors with information regarding finances, housing, leisure, culture, digitalization, health, and volunteer opportunities.

In Schiedam, the second edition of the Vitaliteitsmarkt recently concluded, attracting 140 residents aged 55 and older across two locations. The event focused on healthy aging, offering eight types of health tests including blood pressure, glucose, and fall risk assessments via a Smartfloor. Participants received personalized exercise advice based on their results.
