Senior community events scheduled in Oostende and Oosterzele

Several community events for seniors are being organized in Belgium. In Oostende, the city is hosting a Christmas edition of the Zilver Danst dance party on December 10 at the Kursaal Oostende Lounge. The event, running from 14:00 to 18:00, aims to encourage physical activity and social connection among elderly residents, addressing concerns regarding loneliness and vulnerability identified in local research. Tickets are priced at 5 euros, with a reduced rate of 1 euro available.

In Oosterzele, the Seniorenraad and GC De Kluize are organizing a dance afternoon titled ‘Vintage Vinyl Classics’ on November 24 at Den Amb8. The event features the band The Bonanzas, performing hits from the 1960s and 1970s. The afternoon includes music, coffee, and cake, with tickets priced at 15 euros, including a discounted early booking rate and a special rate for UITPAS holders.
