Senior community meals held in Nielles-les-Bléquin and Watten

Traditional senior meals were held in the French communes of Nielles-les-Bléquin and Watten to foster community ties among elderly residents.

In Nielles-les-Bléquin, 86 guests aged 66 and older gathered at the village hall. Organized by the CCAS, the event featured a meal prepared by Maison Paccou Cyril and musical entertainment by Denis Lhote. Mayor Isabelle Leroy presided over the event, which honored 99-year-old Germaine Crépin, the village's eldest resident.

In Watten, 190 residents over the age of 65 attended a meal at the Saint-Gilles hall. The event, organized by the CCAS, included local officials such as Mayor Yannick Deu and Deputy Pierre Marle. The meal was prepared by L’Atelier des Saveurs, with musical animation provided by Sabrina Docquois and Vincent. Notable attendees included several elders from the St-Hilaire Ehpad and local seniors aged between 90 and 97.
