Senior Cultural Festivals in Mexico and Nicaragua Highlight Active Aging

In Ángel R. Cabada, Veracruz, the state and municipal DIF organized the first meeting of senior folk groups, featuring dance and traditional performances to promote active aging and community integration for older adults.

In Nicaragua, the Ministry of the Family held the "Abuela Revolucionaria 2026" contest at Parque de las Madres, honoring elder participants with artistic presentations and historical commemorations as part of the July Revolutionary celebrations.

Both events aim to recognize the talents of older citizens, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen social cohesion through public festivities.
