Senior groups tour Bavaria's Staffelsee and Alsace's Strasbourg
Two senior outings took place in early summer. In Bavaria, a group from the Heinzelmannpark and the local evangelical community spent a day at Staffelsee, enjoying a guided boat ride, learning about the region's "Blue Land" heritage and the history of artists such as Kandinsky and Marc, before returning to Uffing for dinner.
In nearby Germany, the Gemeinde Meißenheim organized a bus trip on 28 May to the French city of Strasbourg and the Vosges. Participants toured Strasbourg’s historic centre, including the European Parliament area, then continued to Birkenwald for a traditional lunch, and visited the Stiftskirche St. Florentius in Niederhaslach before heading home.
Both trips highlighted cultural heritage, local scenery and community bonding among senior citizens.
