Senior Health Programs Reach Thousands in Brazil and Macau
In Vitorino, Brazil, the municipal "Ativamente 60+" program hosted a gathering for seniors at the local senior center, offering physical activities, health screenings, and free medication kits. Mayor Marciano Vottri praised the initiative for providing free gym, aerobics and Pilates facilities and emphasized its role in improving elderly quality of life.
In Macau, the fifth edition of the Development and Continuous Improvement Program reported more than 41,000 senior participations across over 3,400 courses focused on health, well‑being and cultural activities. Deputy Kevin Ho urged authorities to expand health‑focused offerings, while Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture O Lam agreed and outlined cooperation with health services and the Youth Education Directorate to enhance course quality and supervision.
