Senior safety highlighted after two elderly women injured in Poland

Two separate incidents involving elderly women in Poland have highlighted the need for vigilance regarding senior safety.

In Pleszew, an 80-year-old woman was hospitalized after falling from a ground-floor balcony on September 18. According to local police, the woman, who lives alone and suffers from dementia, leaned over the railing and fell. Authorities have used the incident to urge caregivers to provide regular support and ensure safe living conditions for seniors with health issues.

In Wrocław-Grabiszynek, police officers discovered an 85-year-old woman with a serious head injury after noticing blood on a stairwell. The woman had lost her balance and struck a wall while entering a building. Officers provided first aid to stop the bleeding until medical teams arrived to transport her to the hospital.
