Senise loses 1 million euros in infrastructure funding

Nicola Maria Sassone, a municipal councilor for Forza Italia, has reported that the municipality of Senise lost access to 1 million euros in public funding intended for infrastructure improvements in an artisanal area.

The funds were part of the FSC 2021/2027 regional call for infrastructure interventions on productive areas in Basilicata. The proposed project included resurfacing asphalt, installing signage, constructing sidewalks, paving public areas, and upgrading lighting.

Despite receiving a score of 10 in the provisional ranking for a program with a total budget of 37 million euros, the municipality failed to confirm the application by submitting the already prepared executive project within the required ten-day window following the publication of the provisional rankings. The missed opportunity would have covered 100% of the eligible costs.
