Senjo horror film selected for Sitges Film Festival

The film label NOTHING NEW has announced its latest feature-length horror film, ‘Senjo’ (Wash Away), directed by Takuya Miyahara. The film has been selected for the Panorama section of the 59th Sitges Film Festival in Spain.

Described as a ‘water horror’ suspense film, the story follows a couple at a lakeside resort who experience a transformation as they interact with the local ‘hospitality’ and the water used by the facility. The film stars Jingi Irie and Makoto Tanaka.

Miyahara, making his feature directorial debut, previously gained recognition for his short film of the same name. The production also features script collaboration from Dism, a creator known for the TRPG scenario ‘Katashiro’. ‘Senjo’ is scheduled for release in Spring 2027.
