Senna Agius takes Moto2 pole position at Misano

Senna Agius secured pole position for the Moto2 San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli with a lap time of 1:33.718. The Intact GP rider beat Daniel Holgado by 0.193 seconds to claim his second pole of the season.

Angel Piqueras will join Agius on the front row in third, followed by David Muñoz and championship leader Manuel González. The qualifying session was marked by several incidents, including a crash involving Alberto Ferrandez that also impacted David Alonso, forcing the latter to start from 17th.

Championship contender Izán Guevara will start from 14th place following a six-place grid penalty for riding too slowly on the racing line for the second time this season. Ferrandez also received a three-place penalty for a similar infraction.
