Sennheiser and Neumann technology used at Woodstock der Blasmusik

The Woodstock der Blasmusik festival, held from July 2 to 5, 2026, utilized advanced audio technology to support approximately 150 musical formations and 1,500 musicians. The event, which drew around 110,000 visitors, has become one of Europe's largest brass music festivals, featuring genres ranging from traditional folk and Balkan brass to jazz and urban brass with electronic influences.

Technical Director Mario Schwarz implemented Sennheiser Spectera broadband wireless systems across several main stages, including the Buffet Crampon Main Stage, the Allerhand Stage, and the Kraut & Ruabm Arena. The Spectera system was chosen for its ability to handle the high sound pressure levels and transient structures characteristic of brass instruments.

To complement the wireless systems, Neumann MCM miniature clip microphone systems with KK 14 cardioid capsules were used for instrument miking. Schwarz noted that approximately 90 percent of the performing formations now utilize clip microphones to achieve high-quality sound reproduction directly from the instruments.
