Sennheiser begins shipping Spectera SKM handheld transmitter

Sennheiser has commenced shipping the Spectera SKM handheld transmitter, a move that completes the core components of the company’s bidirectional wideband wireless ecosystem. The device is intended for professional use in live sound, theatre, broadcast, and places of worship.

Utilizing Sennheiser’s WMAS approach, the Spectera SKM provides ultra-low-latency wireless audio. The system features an integrated control channel that allows for continuous monitoring and remote configuration without the need for a separate wireless control network. This enables engineers to monitor real-time data such as battery status, RF performance, audio levels, and signal strength, while also remotely adjusting parameters like gain and low-cut. The transmitter is available in both UHF and 1.4 GHz variants.
