Sennheiser launches Momentum True Wireless 5 with replaceable batteries

Sennheiser has unveiled the Momentum True Wireless 5, its most advanced generation of in-ear headphones to date. A standout feature of this new model is the inclusion of user-replaceable batteries, a design choice aimed at reducing electronic waste by allowing consumers to service the earbuds themselves.

The hardware features 7mm TrueResponse transducers developed and tested in Tullamore, Ireland, designed to provide high precision and clarity. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Lossless for bit-perfect audio transmission, and are optimized for Dolby Atmos with interactive head tracking for immersive spatial audio.

For noise management, the device utilizes an updated adaptive hybrid ANC with an automatic anti-wind function. Voice clarity is enhanced through a system of six microphones and two bone conduction sensors combined with AI-supported voice isolation. The earbuds include an IP54 rating for sweat and rain resistance, and the charging case provides up to 40 hours of total battery life.
