Sennheiser unveils MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 with replaceable batteries
Sennheiser has unveiled the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5, a new flagship series of wireless earbuds designed with a focus on sustainability and high-fidelity audio. A standout feature is the user-replaceable battery design, allowing users to swap batteries in both the earbuds and the charging case to extend the product's lifespan.
Technically, the earbuds feature 7-mm TrueResponse drivers developed in Tullamore, Ireland. They support Bluetooth 6.0 and high-resolution audio via aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless codecs, capable of up to 24-bit/96kHz playback. The device also supports Dolby Atmos with head-tracking technology for immersive 3D audio.
Other key specifications include up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge (40 hours total with the case), an adaptive hybrid ANC system with wind-noise reduction, and an eight-microphone array including bone conduction sensors for improved call quality. The earbuds carry an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
