Senryu Shuzo to host autumn brewery opening in Sasebo

Senryu Shuzo, a sake brewery located in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, has announced its ‘Honjin Kura-biraki ~Autumn Edition~’ event, scheduled for October 10 and 11.

The event will feature ‘hiyaoroshi’—sake that has been aged through the summer—including four varieties of Junmai-style sake made from 100% Yamada Nishiki rice. Other offerings include seasonal sake lees pickles and barrel sake.

Attendees can participate in soba-making experiences and take guided tours of the brewery, which is designated as a Nagasaki Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property. The event will also include a photography exhibition and a display of a Muromachi-period naginata sword.
