Sentinel 6 anime project features NBA and NFL veterans

Sentinel 6, an Afro-futurist science fiction anime, is currently in development as a multi-industry collaboration between professional athletes and animation veterans. The project, created by Pat Stout and the late Asa Palmer via Sable Kudzu Entertainment LLC, follows a post-war Earth in the year 2429 after an intergalactic invasion.

The executive production team includes former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams and NFL running back Jamaal Williams, who are also serving as investors. The series features a pilot written by LeSean Thomas and a voice cast including influencer King Vader (Dominique Barrett), Jamaal Williams, and dubbing veteran Cedric Williams.

Production is being led by the Kyoto-based studio Creative Freaks, with operations spanning Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Uniquely, the series is being produced in English first, with Bang Zoom! Entertainment managing the reverse localization process to dub the content into Japanese for Asian markets. The project follows a successful 2024 Kickstarter campaign.
