Sentry expands platform capabilities and internal AI tool usage

Sentry, a developer tools company founded in 2012, has evolved from an open-source error tracker into a comprehensive observability platform. The company currently serves 3.5 million developers and 85,000 organizations, including major entities such as Microsoft, Airbnb, and Uber. Following significant funding rounds, including a $90 million Series E in 2022, the company reached a valuation exceeding $3 billion.

Technologically, Sentry has expanded its offerings to include session replay for web applications, continuous profiling, and log management. The company is also integrating artificial intelligence into its ecosystem, notably through 'Seer,' an agent that performs root cause analysis and generates pull requests for developers.

Internally, leadership is utilizing AI tools like Lovable to overcome the limitations of legacy sales and customer success software, allowing for the creation of custom internal tools to reduce workflow friction.
